Visit it with our Pompei Guide to the Archeological Site
The aim of Pompei Guide to the Archeolgical Site is to narrate the most famous archaeological site in the world by transporting the visitor into the life of the city before the terrible eruption in 79 A.C., and by revealing the many stories hidden among its ruins.
Pompeii was a very modern city, with a complex roadway and waterworks system, gymnasiums, theatres, thermal baths; yet it was unprepared for the awakening of the nearby mountain-monster, the Vesuvius, which buried the city under a blanket of lava and ashes. More than 15,000 inhabitants died that day, and the city disappeared forever. Until it was rediscovered, by pure chance, by a peasant and slowly dug out from the ground which had buried it.
Pompei Guide to the Archeolgical Site, conceived exclusively in digital format, will accompany you in the discovery of this exceptionally well-conserved city, by focusing on the main buildings to visit, but also by providing a full picture of daily life on the streets of the city.
The political and social organization, the position of women, the religious beliefs, but also beauty practices, games in the amphitheatre, domestic organization and much more.
